Steve Chambers retrieved the MCB Door and Spare Fuse Holder from the driver cab and has started to renovate the items.
The items are being fully cleaned and stripped of paint, ready for repainting.
Its the first time since the 4DD was withdrawn in 1971 any work has been done on the MCB Cupboard.
The 4DD at Sellindge is drying our nicely under the heavy duty covers, that were purchased from the generous Just Giving donations.

I am concerned about the three 4-EPB coaches at Northampton. Reports in the small print of “Heritage Rail;way” indicate danger of scrapping . Do you know anything about the owners ? There is a long history of poor preservation of EMU’s generally. Good luck with the two DD coaches at Sellindge.
