An Update

Sorry for the lack of a update. We have been busy behind the scenes.

On the 15th April some work was completed on the 4DD. But the main job of the day was moving General Steam Navigation off site to its new home at the Swindon and Cricklade Railway. The main jobs completed on the DD was taking off the grab rails, airvents and locks in the remaining compartments which was completed by Stephen Chambers.

On Good Friday (19th April) Chris Hurst was helping set the stand up at the East Kent Railway with John Piper and James Pickering as a joint stand with the Network South East group and Southern Electric Group. Then on the Saturday 20th April, Chris Hurst, Mark and Kerry Hickmott where at Sellindge beside the 4DD removing some of the rubbish. Still plenty more to remove. then on Easter Monday (22nd April) i was helping with the stand.

Finally on Sunday 28th April. Chris Hurst, Stephen Chambers and Mark Hickmott where at Sellindge emptying the curtain side containor ready to store items for the Double Decker. Also other works where being carried out on site by installing a level crossing by Richard Moffatt’s group. This will help our group going foward by getting machinery to our end of the site (not possible before). With thanks to Alan, Derek and Matthew for installing this.
